The Sun entered the constellation of the Archer late night on December 20 this year according to the astronomical observations of the sky.

What does it mean for us, humans, when the Sun moves from the Scorpio/Scorpion to the Sagittarius/Archer during the darkest part of the year? During the sign of the Scorpio, we’re exploring the emotions and spiritual depths through the spiral labyrinth of the Scorpion, deep down in our psyche. In the eurythmy gesture of the Scorpio, the left arm is pointing down, clad in the dark purple, while standing upright. It’s an invitation to consciously explore the shadows of our unconscious realms. Continue reading…

It’s Time to Pause and Review Your Life

Yes, it’s time to pause. At least for a week. Today is St. Patrick’s Day, and next Tuesday is a new Moon. Regain your inner balance of soul, mind, body, spirit, as we pass through the threshold of the Spring Equinox this Thursday. May the Piscean energy imbue you with true vibes of well-being.

The coronavirus pandemic may be a blessing in disguise, asking us to slow down and re-evaluate how we live our lives worldwide. We’re all human beings. But are we awake? Do we live in full awareness, or merely out of passive habits? How can we be actively present here and now, and connected to the spiritual beings of Light, Love, Life? Continue reading…

Shine in Love: Listen to the Wisdom of Your Name

Were you ever compelled to delve deeper into the origins of the popular practices on February 14, better known as the Valentine’s Day? The trace leads to the 18th century England, and then brings us to the 21st century on the wings of commercialism. Is “be my valentine” just another profit-driven hype of the industrial age? What makes an idea survive for a couple of centuries, plus be a consistent money-maker? It has to touch on something that resonates deep in human psyche. Something that feels vaguely familiar, but not quite identifiable by reason. Continue reading…

Virgo 2017: Sparkles to Share

Human beings are created from the Father Sky and the Mother Earth through Love. At the Winter Solstice, a spark of Light is born. At the Vernal Equinox, we arise from the darkness. At the Summer Solstice, we honor our spiritual ancestry. At the Autumnal Equinox, we walk the Earth in gratitude as mature human beings. Continue reading…

Gemini 2017: Be Free & Shine

The star constellation of Gemini is often called Twins, reflecting the double sided aspect of our nature: conscious and unconscious. They need to know each other. The enlightening yellow helps us see the darker corners of our inner chambers. It’s important to openly communicate with odd creatures of uncomfortable emotions and issues, hiding in various crooks and crannies of our psyche. The compassionate—yet objective—exchange may facilitate our efforts as we are striving for the balance within. Continue reading…

Taurus 2017: Expand & Have Fun

Memory is the past, imagination is the present, inspiration is the future. All three are human thinking capacities. Yes, we need to be well versed in logic, and have to learn from the past. But cannot remain stuck there. We must strive to consciously form pictures in our mind. Each one of us is a spiritual being in a human body. We contribute to the Universe by consciously developing imagination and creative thinking, which inspire us to create in the world of matter. Continue reading…

Aries 2017: Wake Up & Shine

The eagerness to be alive, to create, mhm…to procreate, is palpable all around us in the first month of Spring. We may feel the urge to assert ourselves while still being vulnerable from the cold season. The young sprouts possess a tremendous force, enabling them to break the seed and push through the soil into the light. Yet, at the same time, they are very fragile. Continue reading…

Pisces 2017: Prepare for Spring

We can feel the stirrings in Nature, and the changes in the air during the last month of the Winter. Aquarius 2017: Prepare to Share Your Light

How do we plant the seeds now so that the harvest will be bountiful at the end of August? Which inner processes do we need to go through while the Sun is visiting the house of Aquarius from January 20 through February 18? What we plant in Aquarius, will flower in Gemini, the Transformer, and mature in Virgo, the Nurturer. Hopefully, we had prepared the Soul’s soil well enough by being grateful in Sagittarius, the Guardian. Continue reading…

Sagittarius & Capricorn 2016-2017: Nurture the Light Within

We can focus on the bright side of the Moon, that is, on the lighter shade of violet that leads to soothing lavender. Or we can get stuck on the dark side of the Moon, and sink deeper and deeper into darkness of dark purple, abandoning the Light and get lost in the shadows. The choice is ours. Will we lift the energies of the Earth to the next level, closer to the Spirit world? Or will we annihilate existence with hectic lifestyles devoid of Light and Love? What do you choose? Each Monday, the day of the Moon, we are offered the opportunity anew. Will we strive to imbue the workweek with Love, or will we yet again be a victim of tight schedules, filled with worries and anxieties? Continue reading…

Libra & Scorpio 2016: Deep Equilibrium

In life, we often dread to tackle a task that appears daunting and difficult. Yet, when we get down and ready to do the labor, we realize that the work required is far less demanding and much more enjoyable than anticipated. But we have to overcome the fear before we can begin. Slovene folk wisdom teaches: “Fear is hollow inside, and empty outside.” Indeed, fear is but an empty bottomless barrel that contains nothing. It’s a void to be filled with Light. An opportunity to create the rainbow. Continue reading…

Virgo 2016: Receive and Give

The four weeks before the autumnal equinox are marked with our gradual descent back onto the Earth from the sojourn in the brilliance of the High Summer’s spiritual palaces. We are accompanied by the Divine Feminine presence who provides nourishment to ease the transition. Continue reading…

Leo 2016: Energy and Peace

Can we touch the Spirit heights while rooted in the Earth? The constellation of Leo gives us the opportunity to develop this feeling each year when the Sun passes through its realms. The eurythmy gesture for the stars of Lion reaches up with arms spread at their widest, palms turned backward, fingers stretched wide. We’re like a tree, soaring into the light blue sky to soak in the brightness and warmth of the Sun. Continue reading…

Cancer 2016: Nurture and Explore

Have you ever wondered why the word “cancer”, the name for the constellation of stars, has also become a colloquial name for a modern disease? There’s nothing malevolent during the month of Cancer. It’s the time to slow down—taking a step back like a crab—soaking in the Sun and the warmth. We’re invited to open up to the worlds of the Spirit in awe, and practice balance between the physical and spiritual aspects of ourselves. Continue reading…

Gemini 2016: Be Free and Shine

Gemini and Mercury reflect the Sun’s light in outreaching yellow rays of anticipation. They are both good communicators: Mercury with its quick silver tongue, Gemini with bright enthusiastic exchange of ideas. Throughout the year, yellow vibes are strong every Wednesday, the day of Mercury. And every year between May 20 and June 21, as the Sun passes through the constellation of the Twins, the yellow influence is extra powerful. Continue reading…

May 2016: Kinesthetic Awareness for Inner Exploration

The more we learn about our true identity, the more confident we are. The more genuinely self-confident we are, the easier it is to shed off fears that we may have accumulated. Once we purge fears, we can more smoothly manifest our dreams in the world of matter. Continue reading…

Taurus 2016: Expand and Have Fun

The Sun left the red Aries and entered the orange Taurus on April 19. The red Mars has been retrograde since April 17; the yellow Mercury is retrograde from April 28 through May 22. The orange Jupiter has been retrograde since January 7, and will go direct on May 9. So we have an auspicious alignment from May 9 to May 20 when orange can shine in its true brilliance in Taurus and Jupiter because the red of Mars and the yellow of Mercury are drawn back. Continue reading…

April 2016: Harmonious Movement Enlivens the Healthy Life Forces

Eurythmy is the breathing, alive space among people; it’s the flow of energy as we move along, towards, through, past each other. Not just “dancing with” as in folk dance, or “dancing at” as in ballet, but consciously cultivating the aliveness among the movers, between the movers and observers. Time and space are crafted into a magical opening where we can all glimpse our own true dreams, the dreams that we were born with, the path of humaneness that awaits our discovery. Continue reading…

Aries 2016: The Excitement of Spring

Red is the color of Life, the force of the will to live. The eagerness to be alive, to create, mhm…to procreate, is palpable all around us in the first month of spring from March 19 through April 19. As the Sun passes through the constellation of stars in the Northern hemisphere, which the Ancients named Aries, we feel the urge to assert ourselves while still being vulnerable from the cold season. Continue reading…

Pisces 2016: What Stars Dance through the Consonants in Your Name?

The energies of the Planets and the Stars influence us every day. Not just through their cosmic dance and relational dynamics, which can be traced in astronomy and astrology, but also more directly. Our names are unique combinations of sounds. Vowels sing with the Planets; consonants dance with the Stars. When we speak, the larynx vibrates and emits sounds, which we can hear, but cannot see with earthly eyes. The harmonious movement art of eurythmy moves to the music of the human speech to make the audible visible. Each letter of the alphabet has its own signature sound and accompanying eurythmy gesture. Continue reading…
